In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government IS the problem! ...Ronald Reagan

Bits of tidbits

The mile high city hasn't been as excited about Bronco football since the "Super Bowl" days of Elway, thanks to Tim Tebow!
***
My wife's TV commercial for her law practice aired during the Notre Dame game Saturday!
***
"I hate to admit it, but I went to Harvard..."Bill O'Reilly
***
I agree with Mark Levin: "Harry Reid's lost it mentally."
***
Solyndra received half a billion dollars from Uncle Sam to create 3,000 construction jobs. The bankrupt company only created 158 jobs.
***
Concerning the re-opening of the Natalie Wood death, I think they should bring in Mark Fuhrman of O.J. Simpson fame to help sort out the facts. I think he could get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding her death.
***
I sure hope the next time we elect a president that he's smart like Obama and knows that we have 57 states. LOL!!!!!!
***
How much is the Democrat party paying Karl Rove each time he opens his trap to bad mouth the Republicans?
***
CNN used the "N" word the other day. What would happen if Fox News had done that? Every racist like Jesse Jackson would try to get the FCC to take Fox off the air!

"Be thankful we're not getting all the government we're paying for!"--Will Rogers

Dick Morris claims Obama will get BEAT in 2012!
***
45% of the Republicans think Romney will be the GOP nominee. Sad day in America if they get rid of one Democrat for another donkey in 2012!
***
FOX NEWS: Take Ron Paul out of the GOP debates unless he endorses Romney. Maybe Ron Paul sees little difference between Obama and Romney. Last week I was talking to the vice president of a local union and he said, "We support Obama, but there isn't much difference between Romney and Obama."

My wife has created a new blog called The Christmas Blog. She won't begin posting until December 1, but I just wanted to give a heads up on it. She will be talking about things that are not common knowledge concerning the birth of Christ. The blog's address is:

Idiots who voted for Obama

They don't like Palin!

Where the hell is the House Committee On UnAmerican Activities when you need them? Oh, I forgot the "liberals" did away with the Committee! OWS protesters want to burn down New York City! That's UN-AMERICAN!
***
OWS BAKERSFIELD took place earlier at the Liberty Bell, with about 100 demonstrators. I asked 10 protestors who they supported for President and they all LOVED Obama. I asked the ten what they thought of Sarah Palin. Two said they would move to Canada if Palin ever became President; one said Palin is stupid; two said she is an idiot and uneducated; one said she couldn't get elected dog catcher; one said a bulldog with lipstick looked better than Sarah; the rest commented she was the biggest joke in America, and dirty "Tea Bagger." Unlike New York City today, Bakersfield OWS was a peaceful and friendly group when I was there!

WOW! Newt up HUGE in the Iowa polls...32%! Romney at 19%, Cain 13%, Ron Paul 10% and Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann tie with 6%. Poor Rick Santorum! He campaigned heavily in the state and felt confident that he would win it. Too bad he’s not doing better...he is a true conservative.

Enough is enough!

Poor Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin-having to have those retarded protestors camped outside his personal residence! What is this country coming to? I mean, I believe in freedom of speech and the right of the people to peacefully assemble, but I'm not sure this really fits into this category. My wife is a lawyer so I'm going to ask her to write a guest blog and explain a little bit about what it means, in legal terms, to have the right to peacefully assemble, etc. I'm sure the legal evaluation is not the same as what a common sense evaluation would be.
***
Gingrich has really come around in the polls...in some he's ahead of Romney by one percentage point!
***
Back to the OWS crowd! Who doesn't believe that they are being used by knowing Marxists who seek to use mob rule in order to take our country down? And the absurdity of comparing them to the Tea Party! Wherever the Tea Party assembled, whenever they left, the grounds were always clean . Hypodermic needles never found at any of their gathering sites, as have been sat the OWS!

What's up with the Dems?

Or should I just say the liberal news media? First they go after Herman Cain ( and I mean go after him, because, where were all of these women and their complaints when he ran for office before? And what the hell took them so long to come forward, period, if it really happened?)

Now they are after Newt! I have to agree with Rush Limbaugh...you can tell which candidate is "hot' or "not" by the way the liberal press goes after him or her. Now they are "reminding" conservatives that Newt has been attracted to certain liberal agendas in the past, so he must not be that conservative. (e.g., the park bench ad on global warming with Nancy Pukelosi...) But notice how Romney seems to be "let alone". DON'T FALL FOR THIS!

We just need to keep our heads screwed on straight, listen to, and not just "hear" the candidates. Now is the time for conservatives to pay attention to what each candidate puts forth concerning their thoughts for the country. And we need to decide for ourselves based on what the candidates say...not the liberal press!

Only in Kern County!

Where else but Bakersfield, California, could the District Attorney disagree with the police investigation of a major crime (first degree murder)and refuse to file an information? (a formal charging document with the court)
Lisa Green, Kern County District Attorney, after viewing evidence from a surveillance camera retrieved from the Central Cali Market on East California Ave., in conjunction with with the opinions of others on her staff, declined to file charges against a Cambodian store owner who shot two African American “patrons” to death after trouble erupted in the market over the price of a soda!
The argument began over the price of a soda-with the assailants trying to negotiate a cheaper price than the normal retail price, and quickly escalated into a physical attack first against the store owner’s wife, continuing with the adult son, and ultimately with the store owner himself. After suffering a horrific beating at the hands of one of the assailants, the store owner was finally able to get his gun and shot one in the chest, killing him. The other assailant, who had left the store but quickly came back, also tried to attack the store owner, but also met with the same fate as his friend, a bullet in the head, which killed him. After the shootings, the store owner called 911 and reported the incident.
I’m not against the store owner, because he was plainly protecting his person, and his family, as DA Lisa Green so aptly points out (defining self defense in legal terms). But what is strange about this whole thing is that the store owner tried to hide the surveillance camera in the ceiling after the incident, and most importantly of course, the contrasting opinion of the police, who viewed the same surveillance footage.
The two victims were convicted felons, both for gun offenses. The store where all this happened is located in one of the city’s “roughest” neighborhoods, which is not new for the store owner, as he has owned markets in other cities in the same type of neighborhoods, and, believe it or not, has shot other “patrons” of his former stores, under similar circumstances, but was never charged with doing it unlawfully.
We can all chew on this and debate, with what we’ve been told, whether or not the store owner was right or wrong in his actions...something a jury of his peers will never have the opportunity to do.
Perhaps the most ironic part of this story is that it all started over an argument of how much to pay for a soda. The price of the drink was $1.00; the victim wanted to only pay 55 cents. He had $16.00 in his pocket, so it wasn’t like he couldn’t afford to pay the proper price. Hope that bickering over price was ultimately worth it...

CBS Republican Debate

It's always fun to comment on the debates, and this one is no exception. Here's how I saw the results tonight:

First of all, I thought Newt did the best. Number one, he's a master debater. In my humble opinion, he would be Obama's worst nightmare in a nationally televised debate. (Or any other debate for that matter). It seems that with each debate he seems to be pulling ahead of the opposition; mainly because he sticks to the questions asked, offers what he would do if he were president in comparison to the present administration, and lastly, he doesn't take any B.S. from the commentators!
***
Rick Perry seemed to redeem himself, and proved to be quite witty! (He stole the show on Letterman last night!) He may not be the greatest debater, but he's proved he can create jobs! And if he could do for the nation what he's done in Texas, then would he be such a bad choice?
***
Romney continues to "charm" many Republicans into believing he's the only one who could defeat Obama. I say he couldn't even beat John McCain the last time around for the Republican nomination, so how the hell can he beat Obama? Just sayin'...
***
Cain seemed unsure and unsteady tonight compared to his other appearances. Perhaps the sexual misconduct allegations are beginning to weigh heavy now.
***
John Huntsman, why is he even running as a Republican?
***
I like Rick Santorum, but he never really gets a real chance to promote his views, so most of America won't even know how good of a president he would make. (although I didn't really agree with him tonight concerning his views on Afgahnistan)
***
Michelle Bachmann held her own on foreign policy tonight. But it doesn't seem like the American people want to really give her a chance. (Her numbers really never go up)
***
Ron Paul...he's a very different bird. He has a strong view on monetary policy, with which I totally agree. But I don't like his stand on Israel or his bizarre ignorance of the danger of Iran.
***
Two debates in the last few days...how many more can we take? lol!
